Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis melalui Analisis Film dalam Ranah Sastra

Abstract

Technological developments and the abundance of knowledge in the current era are one of the most important factors in the development of a country. With these two factors, a country can develop more rapidly. In Indonesia, science has been taught from an early age, starting from Kindergarten to the highest level, namely the university which emphasizes the concept of critical thinking. According to Ruggiero in Faturohman (2012) which defines the concept of critical thinking as a mental activity that can help formulate and solve problems, make decisions, and fulfill the desire to understand. Meanwhile, according to Paul in Fisher (2009), critical thinking is a mode of thinking about any matter, substance or problem, in which thinkers improve their quality by handling skillfully the structures inherent in thinking and applying intellectual standards. So it can be said that critical thinking is a way of thinking intellectually, in which thinkers use thinking that is far more independent, rational, and reflective.
